Dear Parents, Students, Educators and Taxpayers of District 5,

I am honored to serve as your representative on the State Board of Education, I continue to work hard for you, the great citizens of central Texas.

While repeatedly tested under fire, I have held firm to my promises and true conservative ideals for meaningful change and true reform in education.

I heard from thousands of you! Together, we won huge battles for:

• back-to-basics math (no more “fuzzy” or “rain forest” math)
• a return to true phonics, grammar, spelling and writing (goodbye to thirty plus years of the bureaucratic failure known as “whole language”)
• world class science standards (that allow your students the freedom to ask questions)
• U.S History that honors our American founders, traditions and values (political and historical revisionists – Adios!)

Platitudes are cheap and liberal media spin can be deceiving, but proven leadership-in-action is what I offer you, the families, parents, students and teachers of Texas.
